Given our name you may be forgiven for thinking that this site has anything to do with mountain biking, but you would be wrong. Yes we pursue the greater pleasures in life but we also take great pleasure in the somewhat dangerous sport of off road adventure, on bikes of course.
Our logo is the ghostly image of a biker set against the the local hill in Bollington, on top of the hill is the folly called White Nancy,
The folly was built a few centuries ago by a local family to celebrate Napoleons retreat from Stockport, so legend has it. The horse that dragged the stone up the hill was called Nancy and so the story was born.

So called because at the turn of the century one could get well hammered in any one of the 20 or so alehouses that were part of old Bollywogs character.
Unfortunately today the number of pubs has shrunk dramatically with barely half the number of pubs still open, however wherever there’s a sniff of a frothy head you’ll find a Nancy boy not to far away.
The Nancy boys started riding about 10 years ago mainly populated with x runners who carried injuries and took to biking as an alternative.
As the group progressed the darkish humour that we are now famous for also began to develop. Each member is given a Nancy nickname which relates to his or her strengths or weaknesses or indeed their peculiarities, needless to say some people grow into their names or sometimes not.
To the riding bit. We ride usually at the crack of dawn on Sundays, either driving to a venue or riding from Bollington.
Ride lengths vary’s from 3 to 5 hours with a cafe stop at the end.
The group size is usually between 6 and 16 and on vary few occasions 20.
The “hero's” ride Thursday nights all year round and the A and E set usually meet them later in our local pub, the Poachers on Ingersley road for a jar or two.
With a fine pint inside you and grub if you want it, the evening becomes a haven of banter and piss take, this is where the White Nancy boys come into their own.-----
